Winemaking started in Armenia at least 6100 years ago and the country is now living the years of wine industry renaissance. The Wine Weeks in Armenia is an annual summer school program at the EVN Wine Academy that provides an outstanding opportunity to amateurs and young enthusiasts to immerse into the Historic World of Wine and learn wine tasting essentials. Alongside, participants learn viticulture and winemaking techniques, sensory analysis and food and wine pairing.

What to Study
The Summer School program is composed of three academic classes of 2,5 hours each, held on throughout a one-week period.
- The History of wine. New World vs Old World Wines. Introduction to Armenian Wine. Armenian indigenous grape varieties.
- The terroir. Winemaking practices. Sparkling, white, red, rose, sweet and fortified winemaking.
- The Art of Wine Tasting and sensory techniques. Food and wine pairing.
What to Experience
The summer school program also includes 3-day trips along the main wine routes of Armenia, visiting leading Armenian wineries for unique wine tasting and dining experience!
TRIP 2 – NORTH. Tour to Aragatsotn region and visiting Armenia Wine Company and Van Ardi wineries.
TRIP 3 – WEST. Tour to Armavir region and visiting Alluria Wines and TUSHPA Wines.
