Short courses

The short courses offered at the EVN Wine Academy are designed for wine professionals and wine enthusiasts to expand their knowledge of wine and winemaking.

Wine Fundamentals for Enthusiasts
This 2-day course covers general wine topics with a special focus on Armenian wines.

Day 1:
– What is wine: specifics of sparkling, white, rose, and red wines.
– Old, New, and the Historic Worlds of wine.
– Aroma training.

Day 2:
– Learning wine service.
– Aromatic profiles of wines.
– Aroma training.
Each lecture is followed by a tasting of 6 wines: 4 international and 2 Armenian.
Course fee: 32,000 AMD (VAT included)

Intro to Armenian Wines
This 2-day course covers history, traditions, and modern trends of Armenian wines and winemaking.

Day 1:

  • Armenian wine history and winemaking traditions
  • Terroir and indigenous grape varieties in Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor winemaking regions
  • Tasting of six typical wines from the two regions

Day 2:

  • Terroir and indigenous grape varieties in Armavir, Tavush and Artsakh winemaking regions
  • Armenian wines: future in the global market.
  • Tasting of six typical wines from the two regions

Course fee: 28,000 AMD (VAT included)

Wine Fundamentals
This 4-day in-depth course provides a great insight into global wine, winemaking, and viticulture.

Day 1: 
Wine types
Day 2:  General overview of Wine World
Day 3:  Terroir
Day 4:  Winemaking, Tasting, and Service

Each lecture is followed by a tasting of 6 region-specific wines.
Course fee: 48,000 AMD (VAT included)
