Within the FRUITENIA-2 project, participants of the international study visit concluded their final days in Germany with knowledgeable and practical experiences.
As part of the program, participants visited an Agri-PV system integrated into orchard management. The visit introduced the system’s design and layout and its operational integration into farming practices, as well as its sustainability and economic benefits.
The seminars provided comparative insights into cultivation practices across different regions, along with case study analyses of successful fruit-growing businesses. Participants engaged in discussions on digital farm management and smart farming solutions, as well as business models, sustainability, and circular economy approaches. Climate adaptation strategies and the importance of resilient varieties were also highlighted.
Practical field demonstrations offered hands-on exposure to soil cultivation, crop protection, fertilization, field maintenance, irrigation systems, and disease diagnostics, allowing participants to observe modern techniques in real production conditions.
The program concluded with a discussion on post-program collaboration opportunities, including potential joint initiatives and future training or exchange programs. The study tour was summarized and evaluated, and participants were awarded certificates of participation.
The experience concluded with a cultural component, offering participants an opportunity to further explore the local environment and heritage.
