The ICARE Foundation, within the Fruit Production Sector Development in Armenia (FRUITENIA-2) project funded by Austrian Development Cooperation , is looking for an international expert with European practice to provide consultancy and training on the Establishment and Management of Intensive Fruit Orchards (Walnut and/or Almond, or Stone and/or Pome Fruits).

The FRUITENIA-2 project aims to enhance the competitiveness of Armenia’s fruit production sector by advancing modern agricultural education and promoting sustainable, climate-smart practices. The project focuses on empowering farmers, educators, and students by delivering short-term professional certificate courses on intensive horticulture.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a 4-day training for farmers.
  • Share expertise on modern, sustainable agricultural techniques.

Expertise & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of modern agronomy and intensive horticulture practices.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • University degree in Agronomy or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of university teaching experience and field experience.
  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of Armenian is a plus).
  • Experience working in South Caucasus countries is an advantage.

Assignment details:

  • The consultant must be available to travel to Armenia for training delivery in May 2025 (flight and accommodations will be covered by the project).
