The ICARE – International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education invites you to participate in a FREE-OF-CHARGE training on Foundational Concepts of Project Management conducted by Arman Grigoryan.

Training participation fee
The training is free of charge. While similar hands-on trainings are quite expensive, ICARE fully covers the associated expenses for the participants, thus staying true to its charitable, social, scientific, and educational commitments.
Training description
During this training, participants will be introduced to the foundational concepts of project management, including key terminology, an explanation of the Project lifecycle and overview of 49 project management processes and 10 knowledge areas. Participants will also be presented to the role of a modern Project Manager and how to identify risks, create a Work Breakdown Structure, create a project schedule, manage costs, and drive a project through its final phases. Training will introduce an outline to managing projects, which is not only based on the latest edition of the PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge), but also on a practical approach and proven experience.
Target audience
The purpose of this training is to introduce the participants to the sphere of modern Project Management and to give understanding of project management skills needed to manage projects successfully, within the frameworks and methods as specified on the PMI (Project Management Institute) standards. Methods and technics described during this training are applied to the various spheres of the modern business environment like: Banking, Construction, Agribusiness, IT, and many others. The training targets people who are new to project management or the individuals who are assigned the project management role by organizational necessity or for those who targets Project Manager as a future career. Participants are not necessary to have solid experience in practical Project Management but it is recommended to have a basic understanding of Business Environment or Business Related background (educational or professional).
Expected outcomes
After completing the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the main aspects of Project Management and Project Manager role.
- Differentiate the Project Phases and manage the Project through them.
- Build basic understanding of project management knowledge, processes, lifecycle and the necessary tools and techniques in order to achieve Project success
- Adapt project management practices to meet the needs of the Client and tailor the Project Management concepts to the need of specific Project.
Presentation methods
Training core will be presented with the help of PowerPoint slides. A dynamic discussion and Q&A sessions through interactive class participation will be strongly encouraged.
Trainer
Mr.Grigoryan received his Master’s degree in Agribusiness and Marketing from Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU). Currently, he works as a Commercial Director in Armeskm, leading Electrical and Industrial Construction Enterprise in Armenia as well as a Scrum Master in PrimeProjekt, agency for providing Agile Project Management services for IT projects. He holds a PMP, internationally recognized certification in Project Management and is an active member of PMI (Project Management Institute) Armenia Chapter.
