Job Description:
“International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education” (ICARE) Foundation (Foundation) is looking for an experienced Field Coordinator (FC) to be hired in the scope of DEMONSTRATING CLIMATE-SMART PRACTICES IN HORTICULTURE IN ARMENIA Project, within the framework of PROGRESS – Promoting Green Deal Readiness in the Eastern Partnership Countries program commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN).
The FC, under the overall guidance of the Project Manager, will be responsible for the execution and management of seven demonstration sites. The role will also drive a package of key enabling interventions, with a focus on areas including integrated pest and disease management with early-warning systems, agrovoltaics, anti-frost systems in vineyards, value-adding post-harvest solutions, certified nurseries, digital knowledge hubs, and access to green finance.
The Field Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of all field activities, providing crucial support to the project team and ensuring seamless on-the-ground operations. Working in close collaboration with the Project Manager and Team Leader, this role will coordinate the work of field personnel and manage the flow of project-related information and deliverables. The position requires a blend of hands-on coordination, partner engagement, and a commitment to rigorous monitoring and evaluation to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day implementation of all field activities for seven demonstration sites, ensuring smooth on-the-ground operations.
- Support the project team with the planning, execution, and successful completion of all project activities in line with project goals.
- Coordinate all organizational and logistical activities, including the procurement and distribution of goods, ensuring strict adherence to all project requirements and documentation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for field personnel and manage the flow of project information and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Team Leader to align field activities with overall project strategy.
- Organize and attend meetings with team members, stakeholders, partners, and other relevant parties to facilitate project planning and implementation.
- Support the Project manager with project status and progress reports preparation by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Ensure full compliance with ICARE and GIZ rules and regulations throughout the project’s implementation and closing.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Agronomy, Environmental/Climate Sciences, Project Management, or related field.
- At least 3 years of managing multi-stakeholder, donor-funded programs in agriculture.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team working, interpersonal skills.
- Experience working effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including communities, farmers, cooperatives.
- Good knowledge of MS office software;
- Working knowledge of English and fluency in Armenian.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
