ICARE-Armenia/ Agribusiness Teaching Center invites applications for multiple faculty positions for teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs in Fall 2020.
Courses are:
1. Project Management – Graduate program
2. Macroeconomics – Undergraduate program
3. Digital Marketing –Undergraduate program

START DATE/ TIME: September 2020
DURATION: 4-month appointment (September – December 2020)
LOCATION: Yerevan, Armenia

JOB DESCRIPTION: The instructor will be teaching in a vibrant academic environment and will have the flexibility to introduce his own initiative in designing the course structure. Under the direct supervision of the ICARE Deputy Director Academics, the instructor will work as a Lecturer for the Undergraduate (UAB)/Graduate (MAB) Programs.
UAB program – three times per week, for months. Each class time is 50 minutes.
MAB program – three times per week for a total of four hours, including one hour lab session.

The ICARE will assist the lecturer with relevant teaching materials and books. The research interests and initiatives of the successful candidate will be welcomed by the ICARE. There is a possibility of online teaching if the COVID-19 emergency situation necessitates doing so. All instructors will be notified additionally.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Teach in English the above-mentioned course
– Mentoring and advising of the students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– At least master’s degree appropriate to the academic discipline,
– Demonstrate strong teaching capability,
– At least 2 years of professional experience in teaching,
– Relevant industry experience is preferred,
– Proficiency in English,
– Excellent presentation skills,
– Excellent communication skills,
– High sense of responsibility,
– Good computer skills,
– Experience using the Moodle platform.

The Agribusiness Teaching Center is the first and the flagship unit of ICARE that provides agribusiness education to achieve sustainable entrepreneurial activities in the food and agriculture sector in Armenia. It prepares agribusiness specialists at undergraduate and graduate levels, armed with broad economic, marketing, and managerial skills, up-to-date communication abilities, and excellent knowledge of English. These skills make ATC graduates competitive in the growing regional agribusiness sector. The curriculum is Western-structured, based on the undergraduate (Agricultural Economics) and graduate (Master of Agribusiness) curricula of Texas A&M University. Courses are taught in English by American and Armenian instructors.
