Finance Manager
Job type: Finance Manager (with frequent travel nation-wide) Location: Proshyan, Kotayq marz, Armenia Contract type: Part time (25%) labor contract, duration 10 month
Job Description: ICARE Foundation (Foundation) is looking for an experienced Finance Manager (FM) to be hired in the scope of Women of Armenia Growing Resilience in Agribusiness (AgriWoW) Project, funded by Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). Under the overall guidance of the Director of the Foundation, the FM will manage the finances of the Project, finance accounting and reporting.
The FM will be responsible for timely management of finances of the project (finance requests, expenses, budgeting, reports, etc.), will work closely with the administration staff of ICARE Foundation, Project team and the involved stakeholders.
Job responsibilities:
•Responsible for daily financial and administrative management of the project,
•Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports,
•Ensuring project expenses are made by GIZ regulations,
•Overseeing and supervising transfers from project bank account, supervising of expenditures and advances,
•Arranging for and helping to organize internal and external audits,
•Training project staff in financial issues in accordance to GIZ policy,
•Review and approve expense reports from project grant recipients,
•Assuring all subcontracts are according to GIZ policy. •Other tasks that fall under this component.
Required qualifications:
▪Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance/Accounting or related field.
▪At least 5 years of managing multi-stakeholder, donor-funded programs in agriculture or climate-smart development.
▪Proven experience in GIZ funded projects.
▪Strong teamwork, interpersonal and analytical skills.
▪Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
▪Experience working effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders including government, civil society groups, research institutions, private sector partners and local communities.
▪Strong budgeting, procurement, contract, and risk management skills; familiarity with GIZ compliance.
▪Excellent computer literacy, knowledge of MS office software and web-based applications;
▪Fluency in English and Armenian.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
