Director's message

Armenia and Georgia, two nations of ancient history and culture, are now facing challenges of newly independent statehood with education system being a critical cornerstone of their overall developments.

Armenian and Georgian students studying at the Agribusiness Teaching Center in Yerevan, Armenia understand and value their future roles in the developing agribusiness sector. The graduates of ATC are already playing these important roles in both countries.

Many of the ATC applicants ask: what advantages will the ATC diploma give me when I graduate? My answer is: it is not the diploma that gives advantages, it is your knowledge and experience that makes you competitive in the job market of your countries. ATC implements a modern agribusiness education program of the Texas A&M University well-nested in the Armenian State Agrarian University since 2000. This school with exceptional for the Caucasus Region two-year curriculum and encouraging learning environment is recognized among agricultural and non-agricultural students and graduates, the agricultural university faculties, and the education community at large.

We are now an eight-year old business school with a western-structured curriculum, qualified and enthusiastic instructors, and up-to-date learning tools. Internships and field trips are the life-blood of our activities. Research opportunities offered by ATC instructors to their students is another real-life experience, making you advantaged among your peers from other Armenian and Georgian universities.

As of November 2008, 201 students have graduated from the ATC, of whom 19 are from the Republic of Georgia. A number of ATC graduate have continued their education in well known US and European graduate schools; 12 are currently studying. The rest are employed by Armenian and Georgian agribusiness and non-agricultural enterprises, banks, and international agencies, operating in South Caucasus. This success of ATC graduates speaks for itself.

We at ATC offer a unique environment where ability, creativity, and a strong feeling of being helpful to your beloved countries are valued.

And all this is possible thanks to the goodwill, tremendous support and patronage from the US Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service, from its CADI Project, and from Texas A&M University.

Joining the ATC family means not just trying your fortune, but also your faith and dedication to your country’s future prosperity.
